The government’s Affordable Warmth ECO Scheme
The Affordable Warmth ECO Scheme is a key part of delivering the government’s commitment to reduce fuel poverty and energy consumption through ECO (The Energy Companies Obligation). The energy suppliers will provide around £1.3 billion a year to fund energy efficiency improvements. The scheme is regulated by the government’s industry regulator OFGEM and the energy suppliers providing the funding are EDF, E.ON, British Gas, First Utility, RWE npower, Scottish Power and SSE.
The Affordable Warmth Eco Scheme is intended to assist qualifying Home Owners, Private Landlords and Private Tenants to improve the energy efficiency of their homes and reduce their energy costs and energy consumption through a series of measures which includes FREE BOILERS.
